CHAIN LINK FENCE

Chain link fencing system is the common and most economical perimeter security fence almost in all types of facilities and infrastructures. Chain link fence can be classified as follows:

1. Standard

Normally 2 meters high chain link fence is done with standard chain link mesh with pvc coated wire thickness 2.5/3.5 mm thickness, 50×50 mm opening and Circular hollow sections say pipes which a polyester powder coated to dark green colour. These type of fences are usually in gardens, homes, etc. Other common colour usually are blue, cream, red (for emergency), etc. Some of the facilities standard height of the fence is 2.4 meter from the ground level. In order to have more privacy of the plot some fix shade net on the fence so that nothing is visible what is inside the compound. In this case the pipes should be higher size and thickness so that the fence will withstand the wind load and it will not fall down breaking the posts, etc.

2. Semi Security

Semi Security Chain Link Fence is made with a crank 45 degree bent arm on which barbed wire 3 rows are fixed it so that climbing over the fence is not possible.

3. High Security

These types of fences are used for Airports, Military installations, jails, Power and telecommunications installations, etc. In this fence the height varies from 2.4 to 3.4 meters and a double crank with 6 rows of barbed wires and a roll of Concertina Barbed Tape which can be fully stainless steel, Galvanized and different sizes which have sharp blades so that no intruder can get through these fences. Some installations they use on the ground also the concertina barbed tape rolls so that there is no chance anybody can come near to this fence.

WELDED MESH FENCE

Welded mesh fencing system is more decorative and expensive than chain link fence but mostly used on gardens, parks, children play area, etc. It is manufactured with certain set of standard panel system which is connected. The same types of different security systems are available and can be fabricated / installed in welded mesh fence system also as chain link fence systems.

HIGH TENSILE WIRE FENCE/(CAMEL FENCE)

All the roads are mostly secured on both sides with Strained wire fence because especially in Middle East, in the desert area, camels can stray in to the road and as vehicles are moving in high speed can hit them and make major accidents. In order to avoid such accidents fences are created and installed, and hence the fence is named as CAMEL fence. These types of fences are made out of 16 rows of strained wires and dropper bars so that the camels cannot cross these fences and come to road.

CORRUGATED SHEET FENCE (HOARDING)

Corrugated sheet fence is used mainly around construction sites which are one of regulations of the Municipalities to warn the public of the construction sites and to be away from that site so that no hazards are occurred.

Corrugated sheet fence standard height is 2.4 meters mounted height and there are two types of fences usually made. One is panel type and another is continuous type without any gap in between. These fences are installed at site with concrete blocks of different sizes above the ground.

All these should be made keeping in view of the wind load calculations otherwise there is a chance of them falling down when it is subject to winds as it is placed in open areas as well as above the ground. If you are not giving the proper concrete blocks with required weights to withstand these wind load this will be harmful and loss to the contractor.

WIRE ROPE FENCE

Wire rope fence is also a road barrier and safety for the roads used instead of guard rails. These types of fences are made of high tensile wires which is tightened up at some distance. When the vehicle hit these barriers, the tensile strength will make the vehicle to stop but less damage to vehicle unlike the guard rails which are more rigid. Some part of the world and here in U.A.E. western region such barriers are commonly found.
